WHO WE ARE
At Rock Creek, our mission is to provide access to exceptional therapy services to every person no matter where they live. Every person deserves the access to quality interventions for physical, occupational, communication, and swallowing disorders. We've achieved that through teletherapy.
What We Do
Telemedicine is not the future. It is now.
Telepractice or teletherapy is a service delivery model that allows clients to receive therapy over the internet from a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist. Teletherapy is an accepted and effective way of delivering needed services and is supported by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Telepractice is a subset of Telemedicine. Telemedicine started over 40 years ago when a few hospitals tried to extend their care to patients in remote areas. It has spread rapidly in the past few years and in now becoming integrated into the operations of hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, private physicians and therapists.
